Djoudj is the third largest bird reserve in the world and is located in the north of Senegal about 60 km from Saint Louis. He is since 1981 UNESCO World Heritage . In the park through the winter about 400 species of birds that come after crossing the Sahara to the first fresh water. It is an extraordinary spectacle that is repeated year after year. The National Park is 160 square kilometers and contact area for millions of pelicans, flamingos, cormorants, osprey, etc. But other species are found in Djoudj, such as crocodiles, warthogs, Boaz, jackals, turtles, etc.

In the larger hotels in Saint-Louis are excursions offered in the park. The park can also go exploring with your own vehicle. The best time to visit is in January and February when the migratory birds have arrived. The park is open from November to April.
